The Cycle 1 Call for Roman General Investigator (GI) Program Proposals is now live!

Investigators are invited to propose scientific studies using Roman data, which will have no exclusive-use period, as well as relevant theoretical or laboratory astrophysics research, and analyses of publicly available ancillary data pertinent to the mission. The Roman GI program also accepts proposals for new General Astrophysics Survey (GAS) observations with associated funding and computing support, with up to six new GAS programs to be selected, totalling ≤1200 hours of observing time in Cycle 1.

Roman proposal calls and submissions are led by the Roman Science Support Center at IPAC. A direct link to their resources on the current call, including information on Roman’s community-defined surveys, how to submit a proposal, and the help desk, is provided in the table below.

For links to additional helpful documentation and Roman technical information, please see our Key Resources page here.
